THE ROYAL FLUSH
BRITISH SIMMENTAL became the first ever beef breed to achieve the "Royal Flush" by winning all three interbreed championships at the Royal Show 2003.

Burke Pair: Atlow Rhians Valentine & Sterling Krackajack

• The "Burke" Beef Cattle Championship sponsored by Nat West - won by Sterling Krakajack Simmental Reserve Supreme Champion and Atlow Rhians Valentine Simmental Supreme Champion.

• The "NatWest" Supreme Beef Cattle Championship - won by Atlow Rhians Valentine.

• The "NatWest" Team of Five - Beef Breeds Championship - won by Sterling Krakajack, Atlow Rhians Valentine, Popes Nelly's Lulu, Burghbridge Marrieta and Glebehill Blenda.

Atlow Rhians Valentine owned and bred by David Donnelly remains unbeaten this season with success in the interbreed classes at Newark, Cheshire and Staffs. Sterling Krakajack owned and bred by Boddington Estates Ltd was Supreme Champion and Interbreed Champion at Bath & West and Three Counties Show and with Atlow Rhians Valentine won the Interbreed Pairs at both these shows.

After winning the NatWest Supreme Beef Cattle Championship and the NatWest Team of Five, their President Mr Robert Lunness said: "We are on a roll." David Donnelly commented that "We can only hope and dream of winning the most prestigious award of the show the "Burke Trophy."
