A high demand for females saw records broken at the Society sale at Thirsk on 8th May. Judged by Mr John Peckitt.

Top price was the champion maiden heifer Midhope Blossom from WJ Hollingsworth, Midhope Hall Farm, Midhopestones, Sheffield selling for 3750gns to JJ & JM Sanders, Bavington Hill Head, Capheaton, Newcastle Upon Tyne, Northumberland (Bavington Herd).

Second top was an in calf heifer form the same stable Midhope Tate 3rd, and was purchased by the Bavington Herd also.
