Aberdeen
and Northern Marts,
At their show and sale of commercial beef breeding cattle Aberdeen
and Northern Marts sold 409 adult head of breeding cattle.
A good commercial selection of heifers with calves met a tremendous
trade, younger cows with calves a much firmer trade.
The champion Simmental sired heifer also came from Greenhaugh
along with her Limousin cross bull calf realised £1,800
to J A C Campbell, No 1 Farm Cottages, Scrabster.

with Limousin cross bull calf at foot from Huntly farmer

three Simmental sired heifers with calves at foot, excluding
champion, to Walter Seivwright of Raich, Forgue, Huntly. The
average was £1,526.66 for three heifers with male calves
(£1,600, £1,600 and £1,380). |

was a Simmental cross heifer with Simmental cross heifer
calf by Scotland Kestral which made £1,200. |
