Perth Bull Sale Show
Many records were broken at Perth at Stirling Bull Sales on 20th February 2012. A breed record average of £6236 was achieved with 119 bulls sold with a 83% clearance, this increased the average from last year up to £1827 for a further 9 more bulls sold. [report]

British Simmental Cattle Society British Simmental Cattle Society Index Values
We have updated the values used to calculate our Terminal and Self Replacing index values to reflect the recent upturn in finished cattle prices, the value of cull cows and general values of livestock. Breed average values are now +57(+20) for Terminal index and +58(+24) for the Self Replacing index however the ranking of animals within the breed or movement in ranking is minimal. The indexes are designed to show the financial viability of each animal on a commercial farm.
